The Legend of Flubert

I’m Evan Taylor, the owner and bus driver of First Stop Donuts and I’m going to tell you a short story about how apple cider donuts came to Richmond. You see, apple cider donuts are a big thing in other parts of the country. In some states, you can’t go a few miles without access to apple cider donuts. No fair.

That’s when I decided it was time to leave my comfy marketing job to bring my favorite donuts to the people of RVA. I found a hardworking everyday short school bus named Flubert and converted it into an armored donut transport vehicle. After perfecting the recipe, we started serving fresh, made on-site apple cider donuts in October 2019. Since then we’ve served at farmers markets, breweries, neighborhoods, weddings, The State Fair of Virginia and so much more.

Now you can get warm apple cider donuts here in RVA all year round!
